Terms of service
cbsplit is a split-testing and post-purchase upsell service for Shopify stores, operated by Supercharged Entertainment Ltd (British Columbia, Canada). Installing the app from Shopify and using it means you agree to these terms. They are written to be read.
The service
cbsplit lets a store run experiments on its pages and offers, serve one-click post-purchase upsells, and see the measured results. You install it through Shopify, and it operates within the permissions Shopify shows you at install. We are not affiliated with Shopify Inc.
Fees
Every store gets a 30-day free trial. After that the fee is monthly and based on the store's gross sales for that month, on the tier table shown inside the app on the Plan page and approved by you through Shopify's own billing system at install. Fees are charged in arrears through Shopify; we never handle your payment details. Under the lowest tier threshold the month is free. Uninstalling stops future charges.
Your data and your customers
Your store's data stays yours. We process it solely to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms. You are responsible for your own store's compliance with the laws that apply to it, including any disclosure obligations to your customers about analytics running on your storefront.
What the numbers mean, and what we do not promise
The reports state their uncertainty on purpose: a test without enough traffic says so, and no winner is a legitimate result. We promise honest measurement; we do not promise that any experiment, offer, or feature will increase your revenue. Business decisions made on the numbers are yours.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service for unlawful commerce, attempt to access another store's data, probe or disrupt the service, or misrepresent experiment results to third parties as something we certified. We can suspend service to protect other merchants or the platform, and will say why.
Availability and changes
The service is provided as is, without warranties, and we do not promise uninterrupted availability - Shopify's own platform behaviour is also outside our control. We improve the product continuously; if a change removes something you rely on, the changelog is where it is announced.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is capped at the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Ending it, and the rest
You can uninstall at any time; your data is then erased on the schedule in the privacy policy. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest stands. Questions: [email protected].
