Setup
Five steps, maybe fifteen minutes. Inside the app this walkthrough is a live guide: each step carries a button that opens the right Shopify screen with the right thing already selected, and each tick turns green when the app OBSERVES the evidence - a storefront checking in, an order arriving - not when something was clicked. This page is the same path in plain text, so you know the whole journey before you start it.
This switch is cbsplit's runtime in your theme: it assigns each visitor to a version and serves them the right variant, so with it off no experiment can run. The link opens your theme editor with the cbsplit embed already selected and switched on - verify it, then press Save in the top right, because the theme editor does not save for you.
In the app, this step ticks itself when we see your storefront checking in.
Settings → Checkout → Post-purchase page → select cbsplit. Shopify allows one app here per store. Once selected, checkout checks in with us on every order - whether or not a funnel is live yet. One more Shopify rule: one-click offers appear only for orders paid in your store's own currency, so if you sell mostly in Canada, your store currency should be CAD - and the same for any country.
In the app, this step ticks itself when we see cbsplit selected in your checkout, or checkout checking in on an order.
Post-purchase offers are what a funnel experiment measures. One click builds a starter from your own products - it stays a draft until you turn it on, and you land in the editor to review it.
Test a headline, an image, or a whole template against your live page. Traffic splits deterministically and results land here - nothing ships without your say. The wizard takes about five minutes.
The honest proof: one order through your own checkout verifies the whole chain, and ticks the checkout and order steps in one stroke. Use a private window so your visit counts like a shopper's.

The storefront embed and the post-purchase selection are Shopify's own switches, kept under merchant control by the platform - an app that could silently modify your live theme and your checkout is one you should not install. The guide does everything the platform allows: it opens each screen with the right thing pre-selected and then verifies, from real traffic, that the switch actually took.
